The colourful names that Perry came up with for Charlotte’s ex provided a huge comic relief. I have gradually grown to love Monica Murphy’s writing, the way the story revolved mostly around the protagonists. Happy ever after is not far when love knocks on both their hearts. And then there’s the good news on the horizon though the danger still lurks. The formidable Constantine mother strikes back in this one though, but it’s only for a small part. Them being there for each other made this story feel the longest among the books in this trilogy, in a wonderful way. Keeping her safe, making her feel cherished. I loved every moment of this story, where Perry is constantly doting over Charlotte. But it was even better that Charlotte saved herself! I always love reading about a heroine who kicks ass. A moodboard inspired by the book, shared by Valentine PR ReviewĬharlotte’s uncertainty over Perry broke my heart and Perry’s wavering resolve was not that good in the face of the danger Charlotte found herself in.
